Dear Representative Pelosi,
We the People, want to remind you of your duty to the American People.
Both Republicans and Democrats clearly see that you are refusing to accept a stimulus package that would provide financial assistance to millions of Americans during a health and economic crisis.
By declining to accept over $1 trillion dollars of financial aid, you are playing political games at the expense of the American People.
Each day, we witness you denying the American People a second stimulus check, the extension of federal unemployment benefits, and many critical forms of relief.
The American People are disappointed that you declared the Post Office situation an emergency and called back the House of Representatives to vote on the Post Office Bill. It is incredible that you are unwilling to call an emergency session for the American People as we struggle through a pandemic.
We politely request that you act in the interest of the American People. And we would like to kindly remind you that this is the taxpayer’s money. This is the people’s money.
Please stop holding our own money hostage when Americans are dying, when people are sick, when people are losing their jobs, when people are losing their homes, when families don’t have enough food for their children, and during a health and economic crisis.
Millions of Americans are relying on this financial assistance.
We hope that you remember your duty to the American People when you resume the stimulus package negotiations.
